Well, not having any money to do anything else, I spent some quality time with my baby...the Trail Cruiser!

I used to have a back-up mirror that I placed on the tongue of the Coleman PU, it was basically an old floor lamp with a convex mirror on it. I'd place it on the trailer tongue, and when I backed up the tv, I could see when the ball came in under the coupler, and if it was off to one side or not. It just didn't fit on the Hybrid, and I really kind of missed it since I usually hook-up alone.

So I dug through the junk pile on Saturday, located an old truck mirror that I had brought home just for this purpose. Then I went to the task of modifying my floor lamp but that just wasn't going to work, and brainstormed an alternative. Since I had that electric tongue jack on the trailer, I decided to utilize that to my best advantage. Using a piece of pre-holed metal strapping, I made the following back-up mirror. It didn't quite aim right, so I added a small piece of 2x6 to the back of it and viola!!!!

That was yesterday. Today, I decided to tackle that Thetford toilet that leaked at the base. It only seemed to leak on occassion, but it was coming from the tank (could tell by the blue color of the water) so it HAD to get fixed. Sometime last year I got a toitely seal, but never installed it. So today I disconnected the toitey and yanked it out of there, guess what...no seal in it at all. Well, it's got one now by gawd!!!!

I also did some re-arranging of 'stuff' inside, trying to reduce weight and make less junk in the aisle in transit mode, I've got it about totally devoid of junk in the aisle now!!!

It's nice to know that it isn't only we women who like to "play house" with our campers. ;)

Glad you were able to spend some time making your new hybrid a little more of your own. :)
