Don't you people go already on me !!!!!!!! I am new ok ! Just sit back and read !!!


I hitch up the PU at Millis and drive all the way to Lee's house ! I am soo happy, I am in the clouds ! I am trying to get used to the PU behind me, it is heavy ! I feel it when I brake, I am trying to make sure that it doesn't push me into the back of the car in front of me at the next lights, I am overcompensating the braking  I am driving the people behidn me crazy who has time to think of details here !

Anyways, I back it into lee's driveway, Andrea is one cool lady ! She doesn't laugh or even smile ! She is like " I could never do this Birol" I mean come on, I was all over their newly freshly sodded grass  (I am so sorry about that) so many time I can't count.

Lee comes and we say hi's and go out to check the PU. Fix it up and I am ready to go ! We are sayign our bye's ....All of a sudden Lee goes, ha, NEWBIE !!! And he is holding the crank for the winch in his hand ! I go oooops, and I confess right there and then (I confess that I am an idiot for confessing it) that I had driven with the crank on the winch all the way to their house from the dealership  :yikes:  :yikes:  :yikes:

Good thing he discovered that ! I am sure I would loose it somewhere on the way to Whitby otherswise. Thanks Lee .....

You were lucky you didn't loose it on the way to Lee's.
 
Don't feel bad, 2 years ago, DH has a system to hooking up the PU to the TV and Sojo came over and say bye before we left and broke DH's concentration.  We get about 3 miles down the road and he asks me if he put the lock on the hitch (how am I supposed to know), we got out and checked and of course he didn't, and yes the lock had alread fallen off the bumper of TV, luckily DD was with us and she happened to have a combination lock (from school) still attached to her purse and we were able to use it.  It would have been a long drive home (200miles) worrying about the hitch not being locked down (at least until we would be able to find a store that we could get one).. men wonder why women have so much in their purses.... to fix things men mess up.

Of course, I've never arived at a campsite and found the crank in the winch.  Nope, not me.  Never did that.  Not even once, even that time in New Hampshire, it never happened.

Oh Birol...YEA...you now can join us all with our SPUTs!  LOL  I thought about  you when we were on vacation last week and was hoping and praying everything went well and you made it home safely with that PU!!  If you would, send me your address in a private message..I want to send a little welcome gift to your PU!
