Well, it is kinda slow here, and I am now well rested for the weekend. As most all of you know Briol and his daughter, Karen stopped by our house on the way back from the rally.. He arrived late on Friday (woops.. suppose I should of told him not to take Rt-95 thru NY in the day time! :eyecrazy:  )  Anyway, I won't go into all the details of his camper, I will let hime give you all that.. But we got a lot of stuff done..  I just felt like posting to give him a little credit. If you ever feel like having a house (well, pop-up) guest for a few days, this is the guy to have.. Not only is he just about the perfect house guest, but Karen is extreamly well behaved! You have done a great job my friend!  I did enjoy this weekend with him, diffrent customs, and life experiances.. I got a big kick out of the fact he had never seen hot dog buns that look moer like a piece of bread wraped around the dog (you know, they kind they slice out.. your stereo-typical bun)  For those of you who know Mass, I did bring him thru "Kelly Square" LOL almost got jammed in by 3 cars in that intersection (it was a good day) But he had my advise on the rules of the road for Kelly Square "don't pay attention to them, you have the right of way" Then we stopped at "Hot Dog Annies" for the fammed dogs with the funny buns...

Anyway, I just wanted to put this out there.. Briol is really a great guy to get to know.. and his daughter makes a killer babysitter..

PS.. Dude!!! what are those potato chips you all left here?? (long name, starts with "Ani" something.) Those are killer!! What kind are they? I finished off that bag last night and loved them!!  I would trade you some of our "good US milk", but I think it would not make the trip well.. :p

I'll second that sentiment. When he came down here to meet Larry and myself to get the MOAT and other items we donated, it was him, DW Babette, and DD (who was using her native name at the time if I remember correctly). They brought gifts for Larry and myself, and are just great people to be around.

Oh, and having grown up in your neck of the woods Lee, I know exactly where you took him...Kelly Sq is a nightmare of an intersection! Of course, Worcester has plenty of them to go around. I always though Brosnihan Sq was another of the ugly ones!

You sure those were pototo chips and not his dirty socks bag??? ;)

Firefyter-Emt

lol... Kelly Square held it's finest that day, seriously when he went to just "skim the lower rt corner towards Main St he had a truck try to make a left turn into him, the rt side road a car tried to go for it and one comming off 290 trying toget him on the other side.. It was perfect, and he did just fine.. Heck, you would think he has been in the back bay before!

But Cliff.. those were not socks, I think they were like garlic BBQ or something.

birol

That truck had no chance of making it that day :) We were on a mission :)

What kind of Chips they were ? what did they look like ? I will send you some :)

I am soooo  tired long drive ..... it was hot and the AC compressor froze  for sometime in the windstar and we had to ease up on it and stuff .....

Gone-Camping

What, you guys need an A/C up there in the great white north??? Hmmm, it was only in the lower 90's here today...

Firefyter-Emt

Cliff.. it was soooo muggy while he was here and still is pretty nasty.. It is in the 90's and muggyBriol.. I don't know. I think they were in french?? Long name, started with "Anis" or something..

birol

it is muggy here too, man oh man ......... and no AC :( I am dying here .....

Firefyter-Emt,

I agree with you 100%. I met Briol and his daughter for the first time at the Eastern Rally at Drummerboy Campgrounds on or about 11/12 of July. He was very generous an willing to help with everything. He showed me his new to him trailer and all the work he had done on it for that trip. He looked at the tear on my trailer and agreed with me that I should try and get it fixed by the dealer. He really did want to try and fix it but thought it better to let the dealer do it. The tear was in a bad spot.

If you read this Briol, I want to thank you for that Canadian beer offer. Hope we meet again.

birol

whitestar, It was a pleasure meeting with you. Did you manage to get it fixed yet ? What did the dealer say ?

birol,
Glad you made it back okay. Called the dealer and told him about the tear. He said no problem, espeially now I am looking to buy a hybrid. He recommended to bring it in sometime in Oct before I store it.

Birol,

It was nice to meet you and your daughter at the rally. Now, we need to get you some swimwear for the next trip.  :D

birol

I had swimwear, I just do not like swimming much , or is that at all ?  it takes both kids whining and persuasion powrs to get me in to play with them.

Hmmm, I'm the same way. And it's NOT because I'd looked like a beached whale or something... I'm too old to worry about that anyway! Just don't have much desire to swim these days! I'll spend a 3 or 4 day weekend on the beach in Cape Hatteras, and never get past my ankles there! And the campground will have a pool too, but I don't go there either!?!?!
