Any tips on this place? I have never been here. I am not too sure about them PA folks?  :eyecrazy:  LOL! "BARE-BAIT"

Rick you hurt my feelings. :yikes:   You know us PA folks are GREAT!

Tips for the park.

Have Fun, that is the idea of an amusement park. ;)

Admission is free.

The swimming pool is COLD.

Food is reasonable to buy and pretty good.  You can pack a cooler and just sit it on a picnic table if you prefer.  Some of the pavilions will be reserved for groups.  If it isn't reserved you can pick a table and claim it.

On the weekends you have to buy tickets for the rides.  The tickets are good forever.  On week days you can get one price hand stamps that include most rides, but not the haunted mansion and one or two other rides.

Parking is free and they have shuttles to take you to the front of the park.  If they make you park way back in the lot.  Park for a few minutes until the parking people move down the line and then drive up toward the front and get a closer site.

There are trees for shade and benches to rest on.

You can take dogs on a leash in the park.

They have free entertainment.

Have Fun.  I wish our trip didn't coincide with yours.  I would love to camp with you again. :)

We did a spur of the moment trip 2 yrs ago. I called the cg on a Sat morn and they had an electric site available (which they agreed to hold for me since I was coming from NJ). I gave the kids 1 hr to be ready to leave the house (Courtney had 15 min when she got home from work to pack). Amazing how fast kids can get ready when they want to. I love "road trips" and the kids are learning to appreciate the concept also (I don't always tell them where we'll wind up  :p )

I had heard horror stories about camping at Knoebels but it was great. Although the site was open, having a/c was well worth it. Didn't hear anything much at night with the a/c running. During the day, we were in the park on the rides. My 2 younger ones went swimming in the crystal pool (I think it's called). The slides were a bit rough if I remember. Tracy's right, the food is reasonably priced and it's everywhere. We found choc covered apples in a store next to the flyers on our return trip this Mem Day with Tracy and HersheyGirl (and their families). The amusement park is good for all ages and cheap for those that don't do many rides (since you pay as you go). It's somewhat old fashioned but nicer than our local fairs. Just don't expect a Six Flags type environment. Have a good time and report back.

OK! Been there done that! I have to say that it was a great weekend too!
Lake Glory is a real nice CG. Large sites, clean large bathrooms!, People where nice helpful and friendly. This would be a good place for a rally. Only thing it is missing is a pool! But there is one in Knobels. The Knobles Park was real fun too! Food was awesome! Games where fun and we actually won stuff! All the prices where reasonable to low. I think the most one single ride cost was $2.00. Most where $1.00 or $1.20. I really liked the place it is like a big old fashion Carnival. Don't go with places like Bush Gardens, Disney, and Kings dominion in mind. It was not like them at all. But it was just as fun.

Rick, so glad you had a good time, I was there as a child,  It is now on my short list of places to go if I ever get back up home again.

Ray says hey, keep in touch.

We love ya!
