Hi all,
Some of you know was involed in the 9/11/01 rescue effort.
I wrote a poem titled "Please Forgive Me, I Couldn't Find You" and shared it with quite a few people after I returned. My PC crashed and I have lost it.

   Anyone have a copy??

   Thanks,
   Charlie

Charlie,

I know we talked about this poem a couple nights ago.  I also remember you reciting a few lines of it in PA and when we were at Ft. Wilderness.  You were going to forward it to us before you lost your copy.

I remember the heartfelt guilt you had back then and the days that followed. So many of us here and your good friends were with you in spirit and in our hearts.  I don't think you left anyone behind, and if there was a chance you could have saved anyone you would have risked life and limb to save them.

Charlie, you are a great friend and a most wonderful American,
Ray and I are proud to call you our friend.

I hope someone out there has this poem, these words were precious.

I will NEVER FORGET!

Charlie,
I'll dig thru some old back up disks I have and see if it's there someplace.
Don't hold your breath tho, that may have been written before I learned how important it is to back up frequently.  Sure hope someone has it..

charlie, I went back through some old inspirational posts that I had saved about 9/11 and was sure I would find it but didnt--it may have been lost in some other stuff I had when I also had a system crash.

Hope someone finds it--I remember reading it through tears.  Like the others say, you have to realize that God knows you did your best and (so does everyone else) and what you could not do was simply "not meant to be" for reasons we humans will never underrstand.
