Thanks Tracy and Rick. I've gotten my best quote locally on Goodyear Marathon radials but the guy wouldn't guarantee that they are not old stock (via the DOT imprint).  I'm wary of getting old [tires not me] (more than a year) tire stock.  So I'm still calling around for some in-stock tires so I can check the age before I buy (paranoid, yes).  I've been quoted some rock-bottom prices on unknown brands from the Pacific Rim - Nanco and Dstone.  Will do a search tonight.  Duro sent me a dealer name to call in the 516 area code and JC Whitney, that's it. Will order something in the next couple of days so I'm ok for RB Winter.

Chris - I have bought tires for my boat trailer from www.northerntool.com  They are the same size as your camper.  They are Load Stars.  Never heard of that brand, but they have a nice tread pattern and seem to be holding up well.  I use Northern Tool all the time and just bought a new Husqvarna lawn mower and snowblower from them.  I would recommend them as a company.

I called Duro and they gave me two numbers: JC Whitney (price not competitive) and Future Tire Company 516-752-9200 in Long Island, NY.   I had no need to call the other five local numbers I had planned 'cause Ron at Future quoted $43.00 each for Duro ST Radial ST175/80R-13 load Range C.  Shipping was $8.42 each, so I ordered the two they had in stock for $102.84.  I asked if they had been on the shelf a while, he assured me nothing stays on their shelf for long (we'll see).  I would have ordered another for a spare but they only had two of this size; he suggested I can call back in a week or so - they'll have more.  I asked if they had bias-ply too, not today, but sometimes depending on what they order so you can always check.   I had a confirming email when I got home and a UPS ground tracking number.  Curiously the confirmation was labeled HIGHPERFORMANCETIRE.COM at 866-840-4600.
