Steve-o-bud

Hi everyone. The Steve-O-Bud's are not going to be attending... Gabby is feeling poorly, and with her arm in a cast (broken arm), it seems like camping this weekend is not a great idea.

We have spot H-14. If someone can use it, great. We'll give it away...Not too sure how to go about this....I guess first folks to e-mail us, gets the site.

If someone who is showing up tomorrow can let Deidre know... we'd appreciate it.

we are back and almost done unloading. It was fun (even with the mandatory rain). I have uploaded some pictures from this weekend. I guess I didn't take as many as I thought.

Thanks Dee for everything! It was nice meeting new friends and seeing some old ones too.

Looking forward to the next trip!!!

DK&3kids

Hello all,

We made it back in record time with no traffic  :), also I must say we all had a great time and wanted to thank all who attended for making us fell very welcome, especially Dee with your Hugs. Our kids are already asking when can they go camping with the SCCampers again.

See you all at the next Rally,

Looks like everyone had a nice time.  Rain???  I think that farmers should sponsor our rallies.  Seems we always attract a little liquid sunshine.

Can't wait to hear from Diedre and her adventures in the new hybrid.

Just a quick note to thank you for your wagonmastering this event.. It was great.. .We loved the people,  great friendly families, we loved our private spot.  and all the potlucks.  You are truley amazing with hitching and towing, your new TT.  It is really nice, I really like it.  Sorry we didn't stay up very late on Sat at the campfire still fighting the stomach flu..It was nice to get home early and get everything put away...Well until the next trip. We hope to see all of you again...

the start was interesting. I hooked up all the gismos on the hithch and had an extra cotter pin left. kinda like when the mechanic fixes your engine and has left over bolts.  the trailer didn't seem as level as it should & I wasn't seeing how to pin the sway control. I called the folks at Family RV (VERY NICE & Patient!) and told them I had an exta pin left, which he told me where it was suppose to go & I should have 2..well I only had one. They said come on by and they'd give me an extra one..well good thing I did I had the whole thing hooked up bassackwards. so he showed me again (keeping in mind this was the last thing he had shown me after an hour of "and this is how this works") well it towed like a dream, better than the PU. thankfully Campland was a pull thru so I was spared the embarassment of backing in. Set up was really easy but slow as I had to try to remember everything the guy told me (we never set up just packed up) our friends Jaques & Michelle had gotten there not too much before and were setting up. Dan & Friend Jon (staying in Encinitas @ a B&B)were commuting to Irvine together which went well except for the Flat tire on the Expedition Thurs am. AAA came to the rescue and we used the spare until we had time to get it fixed on Sat.  we love the storage , oven (I baked cookies and a pie) the bathroom. the only thing we had a problem with was condensation on the bunk ends (will hit up the PUT gurus on this).

we took the kids to the zoo on thurs and the weather was great. Kara came down with a fever around 5 pm so she was done for the day

I think the best part was seeing everyone and we had some newcomers to the group which is always fun.

the Potlucks were yummy at least it only rained on the morning breakfast the weather was great for Dinner... and the food was quite good and plentiful as usual.

SUE: I WANT YOUR ENCHILADA RECIPE YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY.

Thanks to all that showed up.
Steve I'm sorry you couldn't make it. Kara it still has a slight  fever at night

the trip home was uneventful, stopped to see Dad. and back it in the driveway on the first attempt!!!  so I'm ready for another trip. I think in feb.
MLK weekend I'm getting a huge dumpster and attacking the black hole formally know as our garage.
