See you later.  I am going camping today after work. :eyecrazy:   I am pretty sure this will be our last trip of the year.  Bye...

Have a great trip!!!

My hybrid is at the dealers for warranty work. I may try to get in a few more trips when it comes back. I have already winterized it so it should be fine in the cold. I'll keep the ends closed up to keep it nice and warm, not to mention one of the bunkends is getting the fabric replaced and they may not install the new one until spring. That would make it kinda chilly.

This is gonna be good......no pictures to show.
In a hybrid (which you may or may not have) the bunkends do not slide in but they fold up.

Whether you have a hybrid or popup, this should explain some things.
When you lower the "bow" that supports the outer edge of the fabric on your tent end (popup or hybrid), there are small hinges that the bow bar is attached too. With a popup, you slide the bunkend in and lower the roof.

With a hybrid, you fold the bunkend up and lock it into place. The hinge portion that the bowbar pivots on is what cut my fabric and the root cause was caused by poor quality control/quality assurance or improper training.

If the tenting fabric is installed correctly, the roof portion of the tenting will fold inside the hybrid and be unaffected by the bow bar or its' hinge. If the roof portion of the bunkend tenting is installed offset to one side or the other, the hinge of the bow bar will now be pressing on the sides of the tent end instead of the top of the fabric. The top goes in fine, the sides do not have the extra fabric to slide into the camper when they are pressed against by a sharp object. My bowbar hinge cut into the side fabric of the tent end and made a visible cut in the side/roof fabric that was about an inch long.

In all fairness to the dealer that is repairing it under warranty, I did not buy it from him (some of you guys must be quivering) and I took it to him in the spring when I saw the cut (and he fixed a few other things even though I didn't buy it form him). We agreed that it could be patched for the season and brought back in the fall for replacement. At that time we did not know what caused the problem but after my constant looking and checking, I found the cause and they understood the cause when I dropped it off.

I can get pictures after this weekend if it isn't clear, I am going to pick it up without the new tent end this weekend and bring it back in March for the new tent end.

Well my last camping trip of the year started a little late.  I took the trailer to work, and 20 minutes before the end of my work day...sigh...I was told I had to stay late, gerrrrr.  I guess it was better the first day of a camping trip, then if it was on Thanksgiving or Christmas, or was it :yikes:.  I was mostly setup with the help of copcarguy and copcargirl when it started raining.  It rained Friday night, Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening.  So we went to the New Bass Pro Shop Saturday morning.  The store had only opened two days earlier.  I thought it would be really crowded, but it wasn't.  HersheyGirl met us at Bass Pro Shop and then we went to her house for a short visit.  We went back to the campground and had dinner.  It was still raining.  We watched a movie and when the move was over it had stopped raining. :)   Sunday morning it was foggy and then the sun came out.  I was able to get the tenting dry and give the camper a good cleaning.  I guess it was a good trip over all, even with the rain.  Now it is time to dream about our camping trips for next year. :)

Aww, c'mon. You must have at least one more trip in you?? Living way down south like you do, it must still be warm:frosty:.

If I can stay dry and warm, I have never had rain ruin a camping trip. We have walked alll over the place wearing ponchos. Glad it went well for you.

You know Charlie I would really like to camp 3 more nights this year.  We have camped in our PU 197 nights.  Maybe Thanksgiving weekend would be good time to go camping.  There are all of those hunters in the campground getting ready for deer season though. :yikes:
