I have a Rockwood (8 foot box) with a very shaky top half. I know that the roof is raised all of the way up. But I srill have alot of sway. I am talking about almost a foot back and forth.

This is a brand new trailer (2005).

Anybody else have this problem or know how to fix it?

If you feel there is a problem take the trailer to a dealer. It's new and under warranty and won't cost anything. Besides anything you do can void the warranty.
If nothing else the dealer may show you something you are doing wrong, Been there, had the red face, learned something.

Here's a link to a Forest River Owners website.  It seems like not many people post there, but you might give it a try.  Our 1995 Rockwood has a max of about 5-6 inches of sway...only noticeable in wind.  Good Luck.

Camping Coxes

Jen --

I don't know if you remember, but when we were camping next to each other in Pismo I told you that your PU was the exact same model we used to have before getting our Sun Ridge.  I asked DH and he said to check if you're using the solid metal support braces on your roof support beams (the part that goes up).  They're a safety and added support system to keep your roof up in case the cable were to snap.  Ours had metal three-sided bars slightly bigger in diameter than the roof support beams.  We lifted the roof, put the two "safety supports" in place on opposite corners of the PU, and then lowered the roof just a hair.  These add extra stability to the roof.
