Hi, we are going on our first camping trip in about 8 years.  First camping trip with the kids.  Some advice would be very helpful.

We just made reservations to stay a Vail Lake resort campsite in Temecula. According to the lady at the reservation desk, we need to have some sort of adapter to run household appliances.

What is this adapter called? Where can I find this adapter (online and in a store)?

We are staying at Arroyo Seco area in a tent.

Thanks
PK

You need a male/female 30 amp to 115/120 adapter. Then you can plug in.

yes you need an adapter. Rv's hav a special 3 prong plug. when I plug it at home I need an adapter.  an RV supply store should have it.  the "female" side needs to be for regular household stuff and the male side is the "rv" plug side. Have fun we just got back from there this weekend.. Bring Mosquitos repellent.

presently, I am living in my trailer 5 days a week - while we relocate - abotu 12 miles from Vail.  Bring a light and a heavy jacket - the nights are anywhere from 35-55.

God Bless,

Pastor Dustin

We are going there the first week of June (could not get earlier reservations).  So I am hoping by then its a little warmer.  If we have power, we can run a space heater at night in the tent.

I also called Vail; they have these adapters in their store for $3 a piece.

Happy camping. We're taking our DO's to Visalia and camp in our son's driveway to watch our granddaughter in T-ball and make DO pizzas. YUMMY.

Life is so grand...how fun, grandpa :p

We never had time to make pizzas, but what fun watching 4 & 5 year olds playing t-ball. It was hilarious. It was a great weekend.
