I have been hinting around to the DW about maybe trading up to a Hybrid, but as our brave fighter pilots in WWII,  I keep getting shot down.  I'm hoping that if she sees one up close and personal at a rally she will come around. Unless she sees this post then I will "have some splaining to do".

yes and let's talk before you show..you start throwing in little things like "if we had a Hybrid you wouldn't have to do this, or wouldn't have that problem.....that's how i got mine :D

We have a hybrid :-()  Had a nice pop up for 5years but one year at one of the ralllies my DW saw Dee & Ken's Hybrid and that was all that was to that, she started talking about getting one and you know how that goes if DW wants one she gets one, so we went to a couple of RV shows looking at them and found just what we wanted and the dealer was close to home so as I said at the start we have a hybrid.

Dee4j

Gee if you come to Vail Lakes on the 15th maybe you can have her talked into one by Pismo....I'll help ya convince her...I may even get Lori's Mom convinced too!!!

ok, so blame me Harvey:D but they are nice you have to admit!

campingcop

Yes Dee they are very nice and not having to crank up to load up is great :D

Here's what my husband did to convince me ;)
Step 1)  Had to tow the camper by myself to the campground and set it up by myself.  (Mind you the towing was the easy part; the set up was the hard part.  With the set up came a potential of a down pour - so humidity was at 100%.

Step 2) Had to spend the night by myself in the pop up - all of my security was in the popup door that could be undone by simply undoing the canvas and reaching in and unlocking.

Step 3)  He shows up Friday after work - all smiles knowing what was going on ;)

Step 4)  When it comes time to go home on Sunday, God sends a downpour over the campground; we go home soaked.  Not an inch of dryness to be had on me (shirt, shorts, hair all soaked).

We get home to set up to "dry-out", humidity is once again 100% with the threat of thunderstorms.

Needless to say, less than a month later, we owned our new hybrid :)

We have noticed that we bicker a lot less on our camping trips and things are a lot easier (packing, setting up and tearing down - we don't have to hit the floor running on Sunday morning.  We get to enjoy some of our last day at camp).

We even get to have ice cream on our trips - or frozen margaritas if we desire for parents only weekends.

Okay Mr TheViking ~ I'm gonna assume by your username & signature that you owned a PU at one time ... now you have a TT and you want to trade up to a hybrid ... hmmmmmmm ... some would say you are going backwards!  LOL

Of course on a board full of PU owners ~ you're headed in the right direction!  ;)

Have no idea how to get your wife to change her mind ... but have no doubts at Dee's abilities to get it done!

Good Luck.

I'll help, Kelly--Brian owns a Viking PU but after our SCCampers mini-rally 2 weekends ago where Dee4j was showing off her hybrid, he now has a TT.  Just jumped right over the hybrids altogether! :D

Whew!  Thanks Lori ... as you know, I'm not always on the ball!!  LOL

Looks like Harvey dredged up an older post and I missed the dates!

Thanks, Harvey   :D
