Well the weatherman says sun/clouds for Sunday so we are going to the Newburgh/NYC KOA tomorrow the 24th.  Early check-in is noon.  I hope they have sites available.  If not, we're going to the Saugerties KOA.  We both had a sh**ty week and one night in the camper is just what the Dr. ordered.  Come and join us for a campfire.

I hope you had a good trip.  WE did.:)

Are you home yet?  How was the trip?

Hey guys!  I just got home about 30 mins ago...

Well we had a good - but interesting - trip!  The weather was nice, it just sprinkled a few times here and there.  For the most part the sun peeked out enough to make it "nice".  Kinda chilly though, we gave the furnace a workout.  I would say there were maybe 10 or 15 other campers there.  It was nice and empty!

While pulling into our loop, about 5 sites from our site, I hear a LOUD "KAWIIIIIIISH, KAWIIIIIIIISH" that went along with each tire revolution.  I knew we were getting a flat quickly but I didn't know which of the 8 tires it could be.  I backed the camper into the site as best I could and stepped out to see the right rear on the camper quickly flattening on the rim.  I felt for where the air was coming out and parked it with the hole where I could get at it.  There was nothing in the tire like a screw or anything...  so that was how this trip started.  No biggie, we set up the camper and were going to head back to town to buy stuff for dinner anyway so I stopped at AutoZone and bought a tire plug kit.  Thank God I carry a little air compressor.  So I plug the tire, fill it with air, and get a cup of soapy water and it's still leaking.  I had to put a second plug in the hole.  In all my years of car stuff, I have never had to put 2 plugs in one hole.  The instructions said 2 plugs were the maximum in one hole.  I guess it's safe...  but now I don't trust it.  The spare doesn't match (different rim style and different tire brand but correct size) or I would've switched them.

So that's about it...  Can't wait to see you guys in a few weekends!

I am glad you were at the campground when you found it.  Now about that couple of weeks.  It is only 10 days until I am at NS Lake, not a couple of weeks.  You should bring your camper there Friday and go to work from the park.  That way you will be there Friday night.:D

Tracy - if you keep an eye on my camper, that sounds like a good idea!

You know I will.  I have a dentist appointment at 0800.  It should last about 2 hours and then we will leave for the campground.:)

Tracy -

I have to be in the Bronx Friday morning at 11:30 and then head straight to work from there...  So I will not have enough time to get up there before work.  I am maybe thinking of coming up after work, but I don't wanna wake you guys up or have the Park Ranger mad.  If I do come up late, I will just back in my site and sleep on the sofa and set up Sat in the AM.  BTW, I DO have Sat off!
