Does anyone have the grill that coleman now offers on the destiny series pop-up's, the one that attaches instead of the outside stove? It looks like something i would like to get but at $269 I could get a lot of portable propane grills. Is this something that actually gets used or just seems like a great option but too much of a bother to attach. I got the camper caddie and the vanity mate because they looked cool, but never installed them.

I don't like the idea of grilling under the awning.  I would think the smoke could make a mess.  I don't think I would want one.

Personally, I would not want to grill right next to my PU.  I'd be concerned with grease getting on the camper, with possible flare-ups, etc.  I like the stove but would not want the grill.  I too have the vanity mate & the camper caddie.  I use the vanity mate all the time, I love it.  But I don't think I've ever used the camper caddie.  But, I know a friend who does & she likes the convenience.

Thanks, I guess I'll stick with the portable grill. I would not want to get grease onto my baby.

I have the outside stove, and use that quite often.

I don't think I would like the RVQ option since it would trap smoke under the awning, splatter grease all over the side of the PU, and I hear they are tough to clean up after use.

As for the vanity-mate, this came installed in my used PU, and it is used for storing keys, paper towels, tooth paste, brushes and other odds and ends. The mirror leaves much to be desired, (like a circus mirror) but works in the pinch.

As for the camper-caddie, this was included in the sale also. We used it once. It cuts down the AC air flow to the front bunk area, and restricts the open view. You also can't see just what is stored in each pocket, so it can be a game of hide and seek to locate things that you are looking for. But I can see them useful for people with small children.

  Hope this helps.
