Where locally (the OC) to get wheel bearings packed?

After 2 years of proud pop-up ownership, I think it's time to do this, but I don't know where to take it.  Our Starcraft dealer moved their service dept to Norco but they said we could take it anywhere for non-warranty things.  I know we could do it ourselves but we'd rather just take it in to make sure it's done right.

Any recommendations on local service spots for pop-ups?  We're in Fountain Valley/Huntington Beach.

TIA

Was that the Starcraft place down in Irvine?  Hubby knows a place over near us, we are in garden grove.  I will check and post again shortly.

Yes, Adventure RV in Traveland USA.  The Sales Dept is still there but their service dept. is in Norco now.  I think you can still buy parts in Irvine.

I did try to call Am. Sales but they said they didn't do it.  I thought they meant they didn't do it at all but maybe they meant just Starcraft.

Yes, American Sales packs bearings.  That is where we had ours done a year or so ago.  You may also want to try Mike Thompsons RV .  They have a huge service dept. on Ward St.  Would be convenient for you there.

Hi Joan,

We had our bearings repacked at our dealer--Carl's Acres of Trailers in Ontario.  It's not as close to you as Am Sales, but we have had nothing but awesome service from this dealer in the 3 years since we bought our camper from them.  Although they are a Fleetwood dealer, they also rent PUS and bill themselves as a full-service dealership, so I'm pretty sure that they service all makes of PUs.  Mark is the Service Dept Manager and is really nice.  Their number is 909-983-8411--just ask for the service dept.  Their Web site is http://www.carlstrailers.com/

Hope that helps!  Looking forward to camping with you this weekend--even if the forecast is threatening rain!!! :)

We called Mike Thompson RV and they said they could do it in June but referred us to Dependable RV in Huntington Beach who could do it the next day.  It was fast, easy and close and they checked out the brakes, etc. too.  Thanks for all of the referrals.

My husband just packed the bearings on our trailer by himself.  It seems to me, it was fairly easy.  I know he was done in a couple of hours.

If anyone is interested, he could probably walk you through it.
