2006 Rockwood

My wife and I just purchased a '06 Rockwood 1980. We have 2 children ages 6 and 9. We really like the double dinnette opt. Does anyone have opinions on the rockwood product? I'm concerned with the normal hic'ups (breakdowns) that normally follow with the use of a new vehicle.

Congrats on your new Rockwood.  You purchased the exact model we bought but I guess it isn't new anymore as it is only an '05.  We haven't had any problems with her at all other than a piece of trim popped loose.  DH fixed it in seconds.  We like the floor plan as well and find it to be versatile for our needs.  Only problem can be getting to the items under the benches.  DH is planning on putting some doors on the benches this summer so I can get to things more easily.  He has already put a bottom on the galley so I can store lightweight items underneath the stove and not have to remove it when closing up.

We used to have a Rockwood and had no major problems with it other than those of our own making -- DH installed something on the tongue and used too long of a bolt, and over time the lift cable started fraying because he didn't realize the bolt was in the path of the lift cable.  We ordered a new one and it didn't take DH very long to install it.  We were pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to install.  So be careful of that lift cable when doing your mods!
