Hi, I Just Wanted Some Suggestions About Infant Sleeping Arrangements. Our Daughter Is 5 Months Old, And Her Pack And Play Will Not Fit In Available Floor Space, So I Was Just Wondering What You All Did To Accomodate Your Camping Babies. She Needs Her Own Sleeping Space As She Does Not Sleep Well When She Is Next To Us In Bed, Thank You So Much

We have a Coleman Sun Valley (same floorplan as a Coleman Mesa or Tacoma) and what worked really well for us was to remove the dining table and put it outside and then put our son's pack-n-play in the space where the dining table was.  It was a little bit of a tight fit, but it did fit and he enjoyed having his little space just like at home.  So did we because he is a squirmer!!!

As our son got a little bit older, we left the dining table in the down position and used one of those portable guard rails (the kind that folds flat down against the side of the bed when not in use) to keep him from falling out.  Now that he's 4 1/2, he loves being a big boy and slepping in the bunk end.  I still can't seem to keep the sleeping bag/covers on him, though. :)

We have a 10 month old and she uses the dinnette bed for sleeping. We have a Roo 19 and a pack-n-play didn't fit either.

We decided to get a spring loaded closet rod. Then we used a wide blanket that we wrapped around the rod and tucked under the cushions on the dinnette. It was our makeshift bed rail, with the closet rod easy enough to carry and more useful during the day.

HTH!

I was looking for the same type of advice when I came across this (see attachment)on another board.  It looks like it's put together with pvc pipe and the bassinet insert that comes with a lot of pack n plays.  My son will be 8 months old when we take him on his first camping trip.

Thanks everyone,
we have a Rockwood freedom and the dinette space is to small for the pack and play but thanks for all the great ideas I believe we are now ready to go camping
Thank You

My wife and I use our Graco portable playpen in our Coleman.  Unlike most pens, it does not have any legs that hold the "floor" off the ground -- it unfolds with the padded floor flat and six legs sitting directly on the ground.

We put it on the spare bunk and one side has a door that unzips - so we put the baby in that way and close it.  Note, our 11-month-old is extremely mobile (and attention seeking)...

It folds up quite easily for during the day (it has a roof for use outside in the sun).
