We are getting old and we are now looking for a pair of fold up lounge chairs for sitting outside the camper to enjoy the weather.  We are looking for something that we can lean back in and maybe even prop up the feet, that is sturdy and affordable.  Any suggestions?

Check out KMart - they have a LaFuma knock-off on sale this week for about $60 each.  Not a bad price for that kind of chair.

I got that knock off last weekend, The Kmart near me was clearing the store out (had some pretty decent deals) to convert to a Sears. It's not a bad chair at all ! I've seen worse knockoffs out there.

If you don't get one of those knock-offs, we purchased one of them from Camping World when they were on sale for around $100.  We got the "wider" one.  Since my husband has breathing problems and can't lay down flat so he uses it to sleep in.  He is quite comfortable and you can adjust it to sit with either your legs up or down.  Don't waste you money on the other lounge chair at Camping World that is less money because they don't hold up; the springs that go underneath kept coming off.   Been there, done that!

Good Luck

For Christmas last year I got two fancy top-of-the-line name-brand folding chairs from Galyans Outdoor Sports where you could lean back, prop your feet up, had the cup holder in the arm rest, a pillow sewn into the headrest.  They ran about $150 each.

I'm 5'8" weighing 160 soaking wet, and both chairs broke under me within 3 months.

The two chairs I got from WalMart for $9.99 each, very comfortable but no foot rest, are almost 7 years old and haven't ripped, bent or broke yet.

I probably have the same Wal-Mart chairs that georgiaboy described, and have used them for over eight years now on camping trips. They are styled like a director's chair, and fold really flat for easy storage. They are real comfortable, (I'm six foot, 250 lbs) but do not have the provision for the foot rest though.

The best ten bucks I ever spent on a folding chair that was comfortable, and folded nice for storage in the PU.

Costco, last week (in Sacramento) had some really nice ones for $25.  They were comfortable, and fairly sturdy looking.  Folded into a bag about the size of a set of golf clubs...

(not the LaChaise ones on their website, which fold much larger)

They had the LaChaise ones in the Costco store here. I gave it a tryout. It failed, it would not recline easily. I'd go as far as saying it was difficult to go into the recline position.  The one I got at Kmart reclines with little effort.

For 52 bucks it came home with me!

DW has a knockoff that we paid about $90 for on our trip last fall. She likes it and it is comfortable.

Our dealer was having a special on the LaFumas.  $119 for the nonpadded ones and $125 for the padded ones.  DW got me the padded one for my bd.

I found it a little akward to recline the LaFuma until I got the hang of it.  DW had a couple of laughs as I tried.

I like the LaFuma because it is comfortable and doesn't bother my back like some other chairs have.

Also, the knockoff is quite a bit heavier than the LaFuma.

Found more about the Costco one - and it is available elsewhere.

It is the MacCabee Chameleon Reclining Lounger...

Kmart has it for $39 (click here)

Costco has it for $25 (their part number is 831717 - you can call a store and see if they stock it).  I want to buy 2, but they were sold out.  More should arrive this week.  Sat in the floor model, and it is very comfortable.

We found yet another deal on a Lafuma knock-off at Academy Sports; on sale this week for $49 and change.  So, off we went to check it out.  Hmmm....the only one left was the floor model.  No big deal; it didn't look damaged in any way.  Tried it out ~ in the upright position it felt pretty good.  I think I'm liking this chair...then tried to recline.  Hmm....I seem to be a little short here; had to scoot back a little.  Realized I was definitely too short (and i'm 5'4) when I tried to return to the upright position.  My sister was standing there laughing at me!  (of all the nerve!).  That one didn't come home with me, although it was really comfortable and probably a great deal for a taller person.  For the time being, I have decided I like our current chairs; and who needs one more thing to drag along, anyway.
