Don't mess with a guys tools.

I'd like a 'show of hands' of all the guys (or maybe ladies) here that are totally anal about thier tools.  Let me elaborate.  I have been accumulating quality tools for at least thirty years.  The whole gamut of Craftsman hand tools organized neatly in a rollaway and several boxes.  I am just a working stiff, and it has taken me half a lifetime to acquire what I have and I take very good care of them, and more importantly I DO NOT LOAN THEM OUT!

Yesterday DW and I got into a tiff because I would not loan her DD's boyfriend (read pot smoking deadbeat) my tools so he could get her clunker running.  No way, No how, Not in this lifetime!

So guys, was I unreasonable?  What would you have done?  The way I see it is you don't mess with a guys wife, and you don't mess with a guys tools (not necessarily in that order)  

It's a guy thing.

I'm with you, Russ! Hands off! DW has never been able to figure out how it is I can walk through the garage, never appear to even look at my bench and KNOW if she has touched one of my tools (95 percent of my hand tools are on a "shadow board")! She always thinks she puts them back the way she got them. Not hardly. She never breaks or loses anything but they are never the way I leave them. Your right. It's a "guy thing";)!
 
PS: Let the "pot smoking deadbeat" buy his own dang tools:mad:!
