Hi everybody:

I've been over on the PUP side of things for five years off and on and we were getting ready to buy the Niagara this Feburary when DW find out about hybrids, so I've switched gears for now and went to look at the Starcraft Travel Star and Antigua, specifically the Antigua 215SB or 215SSO and the Travel Star sister.

I'd like to get some input from those in the know.  How does Starcraft measure up to the Rockwood Roo as far as reliability, durability and the manufacturers standing behind their product?  I haven't seen the Roo yet but like the 233's floorplan.

I was also quoted a ballpark figure of $21,000.00 for the 21SB and its Antigua equivalent and $23,000.00 for the 21SSO/215SSO, although I got the impression they were negotiable.  These prices were quoted to me on each model as fully equipped.  How do these prices sound to you?

Looking for your insight.  Thanks:

Russ

ITS IN THE BALL PARK, BUT CAN COME DOWN  we love our starcraft, and Cheryl loves her ROO, we both have the 21 ft with the slide.
the differences i noticed was Starcraft has larger cabinets, and behind the couch the storage area is open to the inside on the ROO, and on the Starcraft the cabinet opens on the outside for out side storage. the bathroom is a bit different but both are nice. I think the slide on the Starcraft is a bit deeper, at least it looks that way I have to ask Cheryl to measure the depth. in the Roo they have a added nic-nac shelf over the bunkend, we don't (but don't know about the newer models) ours is a 2003.

As Dee said - We love our Roo. It is a 2005 21 foot Superslide. I'm not sure of the depth of the slideout but boy does it add to the floor space.
We got one that was "fully loaded" in July of 2004 for under $15,000. We did not special order, just bought the only one they had on the lot.
Hope this info helps and that you enjoy what ever you buy!
Good luck,
Cheryl

I think the figure is definetely negotiable.  We looked at the Starcraft this past spring and they were shooting us numbers more like $15k...we eventually went with the Jayco because it is a little wider, which believe it or not made a big difference when you're not getting a slide out.  (Also, Jayco had a better warranty).  Don't know anything about the Roo.
