Greetings, all!  Hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th of July!  :U

Just returned from my second trip with the new PU and all is well.  The Fleetwood Resolute may not be the biggest out there, but one night we slept 8 people comfortably (4 @ 40 y/o plus, 3 @ 25 y/o plus, 1 @ 4 y/o) PLUS a full-grown golden retriever. Just a good thing the person sleeping on the outside of the queen-size side didn't need to go potty in the middle of the night!! I do promise, however, never to invite so many family members out for a night. The DW didn't think hot dogs for dinner and cereal for breakfast were sufficient - i ended up cooking and serving salad, rolls, steak and ribs, loaded bakers and corn for dinner, and sausage, bacon, eggs (fried and scrambled), toast, and pancakes (plain and blueberry) for breakfast.  I was ready to get back to the office so i could relax!! :eyecrazy:

Anyway ... i ran a search here looking for tips on cleaning those black streaks running down the side of the PU.  I'm sure there is mention somewhere, but nothing came up with my word searches.  I washed the trailer yesterday after we got home and unpacked, but those nasty black streaks remain.  What can i use to get rid of them?

Yikes,

The last time I had that many people in one of my PU's was when my grown children and their family members were camped on my site, and the heavens opened up and swamped them all out of their tents in the middle of the night. About two in the morning, they all came in dragging wet sleeping bags into the PU. We got eight people, plus two very large dogs in my 19 foot Palomino. That was very interesting.

But for black streak remover, they are all pretty much the same. I haven't found one that would take it off in just one application. Most of the time it takes a lot of scrubbing using the products I've tried. But Peco sells some of the better stuff that I have tried. You can also check the //www.campingworld.com website for their product offerings.

Hopefully somone will chime in and offer better advise than mine.

I used 409 and it worked pretty good.

I use Simple Green, it takes them right off.:)

Turn Key

I assume your speaking of the black streaks on painted metal panels.  Best thing I've found for this is to wash it and then put on a coat of Liquid Turtle Wax.  Double benefit in that you get rid of the streaks and protect the camper at the same time.  This should work anywhere you can use this product.

Happy Camping!

I buy Simple Green by the gallon, and just refill my spray bottle. It cleans everything!
