Hello to you. I have a Coleman, Sun Valley pop-up from the 80's.
My sink is slow to drain because I haven't figured out the best external hose situation. Can you give me some advice as to how I may have some better draining? I'm not very handy with hardware etc.
Thank you....Kelly

Kelly,

The first thing most folks do (without a lot of work) is to vent the drain hose.

Check out my Gray Water Containment Tank Web Page.  I have a couple of photos there of simple vents that you cam make with small pieces of garden hose.

It appears this sink draining issue is universal for most PU's.  I've tried or considered a variety of solutions from venting by creating elaborate PVC pipe contraptions to considering drilling new drain holes and re-running the drain hose.

In the end I found a $1.49 solution that seems to work great with not modifications to the PU.  A small sink plunger.  The sink fills.  One suck with the plunger which creates a vacuum in the hose and acts like a siphon and out goes the water in a whoosh.  The plunger sits quietly next too the sink and works great.

I solved my drain problem with a large diameter flexible hose.  I bought all of the parts at home depot. I have attached a photo.
