Questions about the Coleman Mesa

We just purchased a 2000 Colman Mesa in excellent shape.  Some questions been popping up in my mind if anyone has shared the same questions and maybe have some answers:

- The seller gave us the electric brake remote box.  Is this very difficult to install?
- Does anyone know how to get the yellowing from the floor?  Small part of the vinyl flooring is yellowing, not sure if it is possible to get it out
- There are some stains in the steel for example, inside on the top of the door there is a piece of steel where you connect to the entrance to install the door.  The steel is blemished, not sure it it is possible to get those marks out
- The Mesa has room for 2 LP gas containers, but not sure how to connect the second one.  Looks like there is only one hookup for that
- Do the rails that crank up the Mesa need some sort of grease?  If so, how do you apply
- Do I need to grease anyting inside the box where you actually crank the Mesa.  I am referring to a box where the crank tool is inserted to raise the Mesa

Thank you in advance.

The brake box is a brake controller.  It can be easy or hard to install depending of your vehicle.  Is you TV prewired for a brake controller?

It may not come out.  You can try cleaning it with ammonia and vinyl floor cleaner, but it may be that the flooring has changed color and it will not come out.

You can try using a metal polish.  It should help brighten the metal.  Any auto supply store should have some.

You can go to a Fleetwood folding camper dealer and buy a second set of the "J" hooks to attach a second tank to the tongue.  They will be around $15 if I remember correctly.

There are cables that lift the roof.  The lifter arms just protect the cables.  The cables should be sprayed with silicone spray several times a year.  Crank up a foot or so and you will be able to get the cables and pulleys in the lifter  arms.  You also need to spray the cables and pulleys under the PU.

No you do not need to grease the area where you put the crank in.
