Has anyone been to one of the Michigan State Parks that has a remodeled bath house?  We're headed to Lakeport State Park soon and they're one of the lucky parks to have work done.  Good thing, the shower houses were small and hard to keep clean.

Great park, though.  This will be our 4th year there.

Just wondering,

Warren Dunes State park got them a few years ago and I thought it was a great improvement, I think the park said they cost $700,000 but its pretty nice but I haven't went to any other Michigan parks lately but that will change soon as I just got my new 06 Rockwood 1980...

If they are anything like the Tahquamenon Falls upgrades, then they will be very nice.  The showers are large with lots of room.  Plus they now have a very very large handicap shower.

We went to Porkypine Mountains SP in 01.  If they gave academy awards for hot water, Porkypine Mountains would get the Oscar.  Great park, great showers.  After hiking that are a lot of up and down, you realy realy need one.

Ft Wilkins is another great park.

I think the plan is to upgrade all of them.  I recently went to Bishop Lake and had a very nice upgrade.  This is a small campground and I think it was one of the latest to get upgraded.
