For those going to the Hershey RV show - I am supposed to be working in one of four booths every day of the show.  I understand that I will be in one of these at any given time:
Landmark/Bighorn (Heartland) fifth wheels;
Nash/Arctic Fox/Desert Fox (Northwood) travel trailers/fifth wheels/truck campers/toy haulers;
Teton Homes fifth wheels; or
Country Coach (Inspire/National RV) motor homes.

I go by KC at work, so don't try to find Kershner...  I guess we'll have nametags, but I will probably have a green shirt (Keystone RV) on.  Say Hi if you come by.  No, no popups.  But the above are pretty nifty RVs.

When is the show??  If it's when we're camping in PA for the fall rally that would be a fun thing to do...  Our usual RV show in NY is the same weekend as the rally and we're slightly bummed since we have never missed it in like 10 years.

Sorry Rick the RV show, America's Largest RV Show, is September 14th to 18th.  I plan on going on Saturday the 17th.:)   They used to hold this show in Harrisburg at the Farm Show complex, but the cost were too high.  This is the first year at Hershey and they moved it back one week too.  A lot of people were thinking it is this weekend.  I will keep an eye out for you KC.:D

Nana nana boo boo....the show is only about 10 minute drive from my house!
I am going to go a couple of times if I am lucky...free parking!

We have a show starting today for the weekend. It is in Baltimore at the fair grounds. I have tried all week to talk to dealers but all are busy with the show setup. I even got free tickets. New toys are out I understand this year. Have Fun!

Diesel for the F-250 just went under $3.  The cheapest reg gas around here is $3.259.  I have not even started the van after filling it the day before Katrina struck.  Been running the little Escort and getting over 40 mpg.  Too bad it can't tow the camper.  :eyecrazy:

It was $2.89 locally and I heard it was $2.37 at the Sam's Club about 30 miles away.  It came down 10 cents on Saturday.:)

I went to the show on Thursday.   Again, it is very big.  Lots of RV's everywhere in a much smaller space, but it worked well.  My sister and I looked mostly at popups and at hybreds.  There were so many, that after a while, they all started to look alike.  We liked the Jayco and Rockwood popups this year.  The Palominos were nice too.  We did not like the Fleetwoods at all, except the Timberlake, which is very nice.  We did not like the new colors in the high walled campers....black and gray.  I also did not like the new flush toilet in them.  The salesman told me that it has an underneath holding tank of 9 gallons.  The only way to dump it is to either take it to the dump station or sewer hookup, drain it into a blue container, or use a honey wagon service.  I like the ease of my cassette and don't like this setup.  I guess it would be OK for those who stay at campgrounds with these services, but I stay at state and national parks, which don't.  The colors were just awful.  Now on the Timberlake and some of the others, like the Sun Valley, the colors were very nice in pretty earth tones.  They also had the new Neon, the one sided camper, and the Grafite, the all black and silver camper, and the one with the deck, etc, etc, etc. The TAB campers were very cute and the colors were so cool in retro fabrics, very fun.One thing that we noticed was that there were so many rigs with Sold signs on them, and these were the big ones!  All in all it was a good show as usual and a good time was had.  We did meet up with "KC" and invited him to the house for dinner.  We had a good time.  It was also hot, hot and hot, and humid too.  Bring your water.  :D
