Over the last year I have been having alot of trouble with condesation on the ceiling of the bunks.  I have tried the crystals that draw out moisture, which are great for storage but do not work when the pop-up is set up.  It has been bad enough that we have had to sleep on the table bed instead of in the bunk.  Does anyone have any ideas that might help.

Condensation is a fairly common problem.  Unzipping some of the canvas a little bit usually takes care of the problem.

We leave each bunkend "unzippered" about 12 inches...  If it's really cold out, and the furnace is on a lot, we also will open the screen door to the first catch in addition to having the windows open.  The furnace will keep up with the stuff open, and you will have no "interior rain" on you...

You need to allow fresh air to enter and if possible circulate the air, run a fan.  Even if it is raining outside the fresh air will be dryer than if you keep the PU closed.  Your breathing puts a lot of moisture into the air, think about when it is cold out and you can see the moisture from your breath.  That moisture is there even if it isn't cold enough to see your breath.  The bigger the difference is between the outside temp and the humid inside temp the more problems you will have with condensation.  That is why covering the bunkends with Pop Up Gizmos solar covers helps keep condensation down, they act as a buffer between the inside and outside temperature.  Good luck.

We also have the pop up gizmos and have never once had any condensation in our camper--even when it has been cold at night and the furnace/electric heater have been cranked all night. We don't unzip any windows either. We swear by the pop up gizmos, and like Moose, we don't camp without ours. Ever.

The electric heat and the furnace will dry out the air in the PU, so they also help eliminate condensation.  We camped this past Columbus Day weekend without our solar covers.  It rained/drizzled the whole time and we didn't have any condensation inside.  We ran the heat strip in the AC unit.
