I need to know what to look out for on roof replacement

For several years it seems I kept reading post here about those that own Coleman pop ups with the one piece ABS roofs that needed to have the roofs either repaired or replaced. Well I guess it's my turn now. I called my dealer and set up an appointment to have my roof looked at. It's cracking on the sides and sagging in the middle. The service manager said to me well since your the original owner, it looks like we will be replacing your roof. I own a 1996 Coleman Santa Fe and was hoping to get some feedback from those of you who have had a roof replaced. What do I need to look out for. I understand there has been some issues getting the new roofs to fit and seal properly. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Well, when mine was replaced they still had ABS roofs, so it was replaced with a later version of the same.

But, don't let them charge you anything -  1996 was the ONLY year they had an unlimited warranty on the roof.  1996 should get parts, labor and shipping covered under the warranty

Hey, Cajun!  well, now if that don't take the cake, looks like things go full circle ... remember back to the beginnings of PopupTimes when I had a '96 Coleman Yukon and had just discovered a sagging roof? And, KenC, too, was having troubles with his? I don't remember what year Ken had ... anyway, Fleetwood was in denial at that time and we had to get downright nasty for even Fleetwood to acknowledge there was a problem! See how we kinda paved the way for ya!

Wonder what happened to Ken? Ever hear from him? I know you've had more than your share of grief since ... glad to see your post.
