My Family  and I are planning our first major trip to Campland in early May, the 4th thru the 7th. We thought we were going to Blythe in April but that didn't happen. Can anyone tell me if the weather is nice that time of the year and what is the best area of Campland to stay (site numbers would help), it has to be in an area of a restroom because we dont have one in our PU. These date aren't forsure yet, if anyone whats to come along your more than welcome to join us!! We would welcome the company.......Ed C. :sombraro:

Check out the SCCampers thread -- a bunch of us just spent a weekend there over Veterans' Day weekend.  There are several links to pictures of the CG posted, so that will give you an idea of the area.  We stayed in the "H" area (I think) -- close to the bathrooms (which are quite nice), and had a nice view of the Bay.  That time of year should be absolutely gorgeous.  But then, any time in San Diego is beautiful.  Who knows, you might be able to scare up a group at that time.  Isn't Mother's Day close to then?  I can never remember the weekend ...

I lived on my yacht, in San Diego for a few years. May & June can be very overcast. They call it "June gloom". It's really the marine layer that hangs on the coast that time of year due to the warming land temps and the cool ocean water. It usually recedes between 11:AM and 2:PM.
