Camping Coxes

Quote from: zambonithose who cart the entire creature-comforts of home (satellite TV, microwaves, internet, etc) with them and expect those comforts while "camping".
Heck, I know some PUT'ers who camp this way.

Before we go ballistic over this magazine changing, why don't we see an issue and then make a judgment.  I would enjoy a meatier magazine, but I think to finance the meat they have to expand the reader base a little bit.  I think we've all made it abundantly clear that we don't want it to become "Trailer Life #2" and I'm sure Dave will keep that in mind.  Remember, he started this as a magazine for pop-up campers and I'm sure he won't completely abandon his roots, so to speak.  I've heard people complain about the cost of a subscription being high for such a small magazine.  Now it won't be so small.  You can never make everyone happy, I guess.

Also, those of you who are yelling the loudest (and most insultingly sometimes, I might add), what have you done to support the magazine?  Have you paid your subscription fees and paid for the use of the website when it went to pay, or did you b*$ch and m&%n (you fill in the blanks) and refuse to pay for something that was generously offered to you for free while it was able to stay free, jumping ship and running to another site to badmouth him after all he's done for this site?  Have you purchased your supplies from the PUT store to help keep it afloat?

I've kept pretty silent on this whole magazine issue up to now, but I'm tired of hearing all this.  It's like spoiled children who still complain when they're given something free, gratis, nada!

So, what will this mean for the website?  Will the name change here, too?

I'm not opposed to change -- change is good.  And now that I hear that you're actually trying to make money, it makes sense to broaden the market a bit.

If you're looking for suggestions, why not include some sort of "camper on the road" section, where people from the different RV types can share their experiences on the road?  Also, if you, as administrators, see a particularly interesting review of a CG, why not publish it, and maybe "flesh it out" a bit?  All those things are attractive to PUPers, and should appeal to the ... others ... ;) a bit, too.

So, when is this all happening?  And will the magazine be more timely than the current one has been?

Bob, when can we expect the first new issue. I promise I will be open minded.
Thanks,.............Ed C.  :sombraro:

Dear Arvee and Popup times people,
I have renewed my subscription again and am looking forward to "Rv Enthus."
with no reservations I have come to the conclusion to trust the process.  If I don't like it when I see it oh well.  I Still have my favorite thing to do...Spend time with my loved ones in a POPUP and fishing in my canoe.  Sorry to rehash the namechange in those two thread.
