We went on a 3 day camping trip to a new place to camp about an hr and 1/2 from home. We were so lucky!! Did not rain on us setting up camp. Bummer was we got the camp all set up with awning out and was getting ready to put our new popup gizsmos for high wind on for the first time when the wind really did start to blow..(gusting up to 50 mph)  Had to hurry and get awning down without tearing up and it did start to rain.  Was a break in the rain when we did get to drive around and see all of the beautiful deer and turkey that live in the park.  Sunday wind was not much better so the awning and the popupgizmos stayed packed up.  Got in 2 6 mile bike trips and sun even came out..The trip to the great outdoors is always great. We began to tear down on Monday without rain and everything dry again.. We did get an inch and a half of rain but stayed dry putting up camp and tearing it down.!!!

The rain Gods were good to you.  I hate packing up in the rain.  Unfortunately we do it quite a bit.  I don't mind setting up in the rain, but not packing up.  I remember one time at Assateague Island National Seashore.  We had just finished setting up the PU and the clouds opened up on us.  It couldn't have been more than a few seconds after I went inside the PU and it poured.  I am glad you had a good trip even though it rained.  :)
