I'm looking for info on the dealers around Baltimore.  Within the next month, I'll be making my first PUP pruchase.  I've read in multiple threads that it's really important to have a dependable, fair dealer in your area.  So, any opinions on any of the dealers around Baltimore?  It looks like Chesaco RV could be in the running for us.  It's very convenient for us.

As long as we are talking dealers, on the way to Chesaco today, I drove past Brooks Ramsey and they didn't have a single RV on their lot.  Lots of various utility trailers, but no RVs.  Any idea what this is about?

Personallity is everything.  I've been to both Brooks Ramsey and Chesaco.  I am unsure why Brooks does not have any RV's though.  Hmmmm.  I like Brooks Ramsey because they are a christian dealership and they really do try to do the "right thing".  If you are really pushing to purchase a new P/U then you should wait until the spring MD. RV Show.  The dealers do seem to give better pricing during the shows.  Also, if you would consider purchasing a used P/U the time during the show is very good to approach a dealer.  They usually take in many trade-ins any they will deal.I will say that I like Charlies RV (Liberty Road) a lot.  They have a good family owned feel and they seem to really care.  This happens to be the closest dealer to me so I will visit them the most.  Try this link to see the RV show info.  I would really try to wait until then if you can.   http://www.mdrv.com/rvshow.html

Depending on what side of B-more you're on, maybe a little trip out west might be beneficial.  Beckley's RV in Thurmont, north of Frederick on Rt 15, usually has a good selection of pup's.  There's another RV place just a couple of miles before you hit Beckley's, they have a decent selection, also.  LKaskel's suggestion of hitting the RV Show is a good one.  Since Pittsburgh is closer to me than B-more, I hit their show a couple of Sunday's ago.  Got some really good ideas and they had some really decent deals.

Can't help you with a dealer...I bought mine used in upstate New York. I've been to Chesaco for service, and I've heard good things about Charlie's. None are very close to me though. If you're going to the Timonium show, we're planning a get-together on Feb. 25 at Hightopps, just adjacent to the fairgrounds. Stop in after 6 to meet some popup folks from the area. Here is the link to the info:

Thanks for the responses.  I will be waiting for the Spring RV show.  It's just 2 weeks away.  We are visiting some dealers now to get a feel for them.

As for Brooks Ramsey, they moved.  They are across the street from their old location.  I guess we were just shocked that they didn't have any RVs on their old location to notice them across the street.
