I've heard that too. My theory: :p

The oil leaves a sheen on the water (illegal, by the way). When you look at an oil sheen from underwater, it looks like a mirror. That may be why, the fish may be attracted to their own reflection. :D

My daughter is homeschooling her 2 and has another one in the oven :D .

I think that homeschooling is GREAT. Puts the responsibility right where it belongs and takes away all that horrible peer pressure and the other bad social training that they get in schools.

I always get a kick out of people that put down home schooling because the kids don't develop "proper social skills" :eyecrazy: . If what they learn in school is "proper social skills", I say, I don't want my grandkids having any part of it.
I'm really proud of my daughter and you should be proud of yourself. It can sure be rewarding.

I would like to know when in life my kids are going to only socialize with only people there own age? My children learn to socialize with people of all ages, and respect them. To few kids in school learn to respect everyone

Miller Tyme

Quote from: waveryTry to avoid using it for gas engines because it washes the oil off of the cylinder walls, loosens the carbon and can cause damage to the engine.

It's OK on diesels because diesel fuel is an actual oil in itself and helps keep the cylinder walls lubricated.
I've used it to start snowmobiles---in fact, it's recommended for older gas/oil mix machines(not the newer internal mix engines.):frosty:

Yep......it'd be great with 2 cycle engines. Again, it has oil in the gas that keeps up the lubrication. I've used it to start stubborn outboard motors too (especially after they've been in the drink :p )

I like a lubricant called PB Blaster. WD-40 can't even be compaired to it.

PB Blaster

Quote from: PapasoIt is a carefully guarded recipe known only to four people.

This might have been true at one time, but it's exact makeup is available to anyone with access to an MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for it.  By law, these sheets have to be available to anyone who uses it during the course of their employment.

PB Blaster

I use both WD-40 and PB Blaster.  PB Blaster has loosened some bolts where I thought torquing any harder was going to twist the head off.  That PB Blaster is nasty stuff compared to WD-40, though.

For lubrication: white lithium spray grease on metal parts; pure silicone spray for plastics.
