Would like to see some of the things you've done to your hybrid--or are planning to do this winter.

Don't have any photos to post, but I modified the storage compartments in the Roo to make them larger.
For some unknown reason, they put baffles in the cabinets that blocked off usable space. I moved these baffles to make use of the space.
There is a cabinet at the front bunk that I increased the space by a third, a rear compartment that I doubled in size, and some space under both the kitchen and bathroom sinks.

BTW, I couldn't get to your photos from the link provided.

I put one of the larger locking "AC theromostat" (clear plastic) covers over the slideout control and pump/heater/battery/tank check panel.

For some reason, Jayco decided to put them all at the perfect level (18" off ground) for a 16-month, inquisitive little girl to play with.

Next mods will include putting a under-counter gas shutoff valve on the stove.  Knobs are all reachable to a baby!

My compartments are also blocked by fake walls, which will be removed and smaller protective panels put over the relevant areas.

Added a shelf to the wardrobe, and will convert one side to all shelves (don't need to hanging areas in a camper!)'

Also installed a $29 digital thermostat for the heater.  This way, I can set it to be 67 degrees (or whatever).  Helps at night, set it to 64 - and it kicks in if the electric heater cannot "keep up".

Zamboni,
Was it hard to do the thermostat for the heater?  And, I've got fake walls too, but some of them are really fastened down good--any ideas on how to get them off without ripping things up too much?  The one I'm particularly interested in is the fake wall on the shelf over the aft bunk.  Can't for the life of me wiggle that loose!

I don't know why the above link doesn't work...http://community.webshots.com/user/skippy102162

The thermostat was very easy.  Unscrewed original one, pull wire gently-but-hard since it was too short to pull far enough from the wall to unscrew from BACK of thermostat.

Screw new one's holder bracket onto the wall - re-using one hole, making another.  New one has wire attach to inside of bracket, so easy to do with a short wire.

Put AA batteries in thermostat, pop into bracket (contacts touch those on bracket).

I think it took me 5 minutes - and 1 of those were spent finding the battery that rolled away!

I have only made a couple of small mods to the Kiwi.

Put in 6 stackable wire baskets on one side of the wardrobe.  DW and I each have three for socks, t-shirts, underwear, etc.  Still have the other side for hanging stuff.

Also put up a wooden key holder next to the sink.  Dw uses this to hang potholders and dish towels.

Not really a mod, but we found that the space behind the couch is a great place to store the boorm.  A bit awkward to get but it is out of the way.

I still wonder at the amount of storage in that rig.  Even on our long trips, we don't use all of the storage.

We put a towel bar, and ring in the bathroom, and a higher toliet paper holder, installed thin bungee cords in the med cabinet, to hold things in while traveling, wire basket, under bathroom sink, velcro strips to hold shower curtain  to wall. towel rack over kitchen sink, installed wire rack shelf in closet above kitchen sink. put shelves in large cabinet also, instead hanging rod.

chasd60

Towel bar in the bathroom and above the medicine cabinet (this holds things in that are on top of the medicine cabinet).

Sliding baskets and shelving in the pantry.
Shelving in the wardrobe.
Numerous stick-on pads where doors or other items bump the wall or something else.
Dual batteries
2-80W solar panels and an MPPT charge controller
Link 10 Battery System Monitor

Pics of the shelving mods are on my webpage and the link is in my sig below.

Our old Jayco popup had many, many drawers all over that were just great for  putting clothing into, rather than having to use baskets or whatever we used in our Sturey.  The drawers were one of the reasons we bought the Jayco.  When we looked at the hybrids we were dismayed to find that most of the small ones did not have any drawers, save a few for the galley.  We never used the microwave after the first year we had the Trail lite (17', single axle) so I took out the microwave and replaced it with a set of drawers from one of those get organized stores.  They don't quite match the wood work in the coach, but that is all right, we have our drawers, don't have to live out of a basket and are happy as clams with the trailer.

We added a shelf set to both of our wardrobes, which are slightly under-sized,so we can still hang some things up.This works pretty well, since most of our clothes we wear while camping are of the foldable sort. Before camping in the spring we'll be adding the solar covers, and a kitchen sink from one of the box stores. The one from the facory was, well,of poor quality and not going to bother with factory replacement and get another of the same quality(read forein stuff).I think Moen has a shop here in town.Spend a couple bucks and save a lot of unneeded aggrevation  :eyecrazy:
