We just bought a 2003 Coleman Tacoma. My TV is an 03 Chev. Trailblazer w/ the inline 6cyl. Has anyone out there had problems towing with this SUV? I'm wondering if I need a tranny cooler? This is our first pu so any input would be great.
 Thanks,Joe

Don't know what the tow rating is on an inline 6 vs a V6 but would guees its about the same (5000lbs).If I'm wrong I'am sure some one will correct me.

I towed my Jayco SG10 with a 98 Pathfinder(tow rating 5000lbs) and had no problems.

A tranny cooler is allways a good idea.

Sorry I could not be more help but we no longer have either the pop up or the Pathfinder.

Before I forget welcome!

I second what Harvey said, a tranny cooler is always a good idea, even if you don't tow.:)

Your TB will be a great TV!

I have a 02 Trailblazer with the factory tow package (factory hitch, pre-wired for brake control module). According to the Chevy dealer, they don't believe that it is equipped with a tranny cooler, and advised me to look for one in front of the radiator. I don't see one, but I do not have a complete view without removing some of the shrouding. If my TB is not factory-equipped, I will have one installed, and I recommend that you do the same since you will be towing with the vehicle.

I just purchased the TB a few months ago, and have only taken a short trip (approx.15 miles) while towing my PU. It towed without a hitch!(no pun intended)  The TB is rated at 270HP/ 275 ft-lbs of torque. The tow rating is based on the rear axle ratio, which can be obtained by contacting the Chevy dealer and providing them with the VIN. Once you know the ratio, consult the owners manual, which lists the various ratings based on that gear ratio.

So far, I have been pleased with the TB. It definitley tows better than the Grand Caravan I used to use.

If I remember right, the TrailBlazer is rated at about 6,600 lbs.  You won't have any trouble - it's a Chevy truck!!
