I was just on E-Bay and saw this older PU with a swing out galley.

I think it was a neat idea and was wondering if the pu manufacturers would ever incorporate this idea into the future pu.  Would you all be interested in something like this or is it just another bad idea that its time has come and gone.

Many moons ago, my scoutmaster's PU had one of those.  The problem with them is that when it's inside the PU, the level is too low to be practical.  Unless you like to cook and wash at knee level.

I would like to see just the refrigerator unit able to swivel or rotate on it's axis.

We borrowed a unit just like this one and hauled it from Texas to Wyoming and back. Camped with 3 kids. I thought the idea was cool at the time, but it was only my first time as an adult in a pop-up, so everything was cool. Beat the heck out of a tent!

However, now I have my very own PUP and am finding out what is really cool and not. Now, I don't see any real benefit to that set-up.

I would vote for the swiveling 'fridge though!

I had one of those...my first PU was a 1974 Starcraft Swinger... It was all right, great for cooking & cleaning outside, but when used on inside mode the entire thing was too low, you had to be a dwarf to use it without having an aching back. I think the later years of that unit they found a way to make the whole thing rise upwards when inside but mine certainly didn't do that.

It was just a couple of short years ago that Rockwood had a trailer in their Premier series that had a slide-through galley...I liked that one a lot too! They don't have one this year though...
