Hey Birol,

Was looking at your pictures at Oneida Lake. Was this a camp grounds?

birol

Yeah, it is a camp ground at NY, by a canal which goes to oneida lake ... Mostly long term people staying there though, showers not nice, restrooms sucked. Too many black flies, way too many ... Would never go again.

Birol,

I had I feeling, I lived around Oneida lake for years. In fact my Mother-in-law Lives on lake shore road. I will be there on the 1st of July 04. I was hoping to fine a nice camp grounds in that area. I never did seen one. Oh Well! Keep looking...
Mike lives in the area also 20-25 mile from here if I am not mistaking.

The best campground I've stayed at in the Sylvan beach oneida lake are is and was Mayfaircampground.
The web site is Mayfaircampground.com   a little known campground with over 100sites full hookups and cable.    Its in the country and quite.

I'd stay there if you seasonal.

I prefer Verona Beach state park to any campground.  But when the holidays book up I stayed at mayfaircampground and it was perfect.  Quite and in the the country .   Our site was on the water.  Showers were hot, clean, and new.. I think they just opened a few years ago.

Anyhow If you can't get the state park try mayfair campground.
