Extended Warranty?

Hi,

Just bought a 2004 Flagstaff 227.  I don't get the manufacturers warranty but of course the dealer sells "extended" coverage.  I've always hated these things with regular cars but I wanted to think about this and the dealer is giving me a couple days to decide.

It's $999 for 4 years of 100% labor and 100% parts coverage and includes everything (frig, heater, water pump, etc).

Does anyone thing an extended warranty like this is worth it for a pop-up?  It would be nice to have peace of mind but not sure if $1000 bucks is worth it or not.

Any opinions would be great.

Thanks!

Extended waranties are almost NEVER worth it.

Having said that, the few times I've paid for one, it's paid back several times over.  I'd like to think I'm lucky, but more likely, extended waranties are bad luck for me.

Most items fail during the first year, if there is a problem with it.  If not then you can expect many years of service.  Does the warranty cover the tenting, roof leaking, flat tire, bent axle, the lift system, etc?  If it does cover the PU on everything then it may be worth it.  If it only covers the appliances no way.  I doubt that the manufactures warranty covers everything for more than a year.
