LOL.  There is currently nothing keeping the two pieces together beyond the little tabs that line them up.  I do know the catch for the door does not look like a factory install job...so now I really wonder what's up...

Ok, I'll chime in with what I know about my 2000 Starcraft Spacestar. The Starlounger is a considerably different layout.
1. There is only 1 latch on the door to hold it together - that's the way they made it.
2. The 18 gal. fresh water tank is under the camper - with both city water inlets and a fill inlet.
3. The water heater on mine is in a cabinet in the front streetside area, with external access for lighting.
4. The water pump is underneath the sink.
5. The furnace is in a cabinet in the rear streetside area.
Is your layout the same as the current 2406 or 2411?

Quote from: tknickIf you have a holding tank, then you have to have a water pump of some sort.  If it is a 12v pump, there should be a switch somewhere in the camper to turn it on.  If you can't find a switch, then you have a manual pump that would operate right from the gally sink.

With either type, when hooked up to city water, the faucet should work just like it does at home.  When using the holding tank, if you have a 12v pump, once the pump is turned on, the faucet works like it does on city water.  The pump will cycle as needed to maintain pressure in the lines.  If you have a manual pump, you usually unscrew the handle all the way, and pump it up and down to get water to come out.

If you can't find the switch and are still unsure whenther you have a 12v pump or not, simply follow the hose leaving the tank.  One will be the fill coming into the tank, and another will be the output to the faucet.  If you follow the hose and it leads directly to the sink, then its a manual pump.  If you follow the hose and you get to something (probably labelled ShurFlo) with wires coming out of it and then on to the sink, then you have a 12v pump.  Good luck

Our Jayco has a holding tank, but not a pump.  You have to pump the faucet handle up and down.

Then you have a pump.:)   It is a hand pump, not an electric pump.

I am pretty positive after the descriptions provided that we don't have a pump nor water heater.  I did find the tank underneath.  We do have a heater (thankfully).  My layout isn't really like either of those.  I have the bed at each end, but instead of those layouts, here is what mine looks like (but this is not my picture)...

Do you have a sink?  If you do is there some type of spout?  If you do that is a hand pump.  If you have a faucet like at home you will have an electric pump.:)

Thanks.  That confirms it then, no pump (which is what we thought, but wanted to be sure).

Finally replaced the storage area locks and the door locks.  Door handle was definately not the original, but that is ok, I was able to replace both inexpensively.  Now we won't have to try to constantly open the main door when the camper is closed up (that was a pain).

Thank you everybody for all your help with identifying various pieces.  Like I said, we bought it last year, but really hadn't had time to "work" on it until this year.

Only five days until our first trip....wahooooo......
