Hi folks, me again, its been awhile.  As some of you know I couldn't make up my mind on keeping my nice 2003 Shadow Cruiser 16ft. TT or trading it in on a Jayco 2006 1006 model.  I like the TT to be able to walk right in and load it and no take down or set up time hardly at all.  I camped last week and the last day and night it RAINED, the TT was nice !!!!  But I kept still thinking about the Jayco, long story short I got home and bought the Jayco at 5pm last Saturday as they were closing at 5 !!!!  They gave me a REALLY great deal,  I have done my homework and even the sales man said we'd be out of business if we made deals like this all the time.  I pick it up May 22nd. Monday.  I have had pup before (Colemans) and loved them most of the time lol..... just worry about the rain when it comes time to go home and we have to fold her down  :(   I'd like to hear from other Jayco owners and let me know what kind of luck you have had with yours,  Thanks everyone.....J-Bird

Congratulations on the new PU.  Your not alone in going back to a PU.  A friend of mine (Copcarguy) went back to a PU in less than a year, after going to a hybrid trailer.  If it is wet when you popdown just cover the beds with plastic sheeting and set it up when you get home.  We haven't gotten wet yet in the PU.:)

Hi J-Bird, congrats on your New PU purchase. We have a new 1207 Jayco, our first trip was at the Mojave Narrows over Presidents Day Weekend, when we got there the winds were 45 to 50 miles an hour and it was cold. later that same day it also started to rain along with the wind. At night it turned to snow, it was about 17 degrees at night, I was surprised at how good the furnace worked, we were warm and toasty all night long. I have to say this isn't how I planned for our First trip out in  the new PU to be, but everything went really well and we had a great time. Our Jayco took a lickin and kept on tickin!!! LOL Check out our WebShot pics.........Ed C. :sombraro:

Congrats from North Georgia also.  We have a 99 Jayco.  It's a 12 footer with a slideout.  We couldn't be happier, so far.  We've only had it 2 months shy of a year now.  You can't get as much sleeping room in a TT, unless you count Hybrids.  You get better gas mileage with a PUP (less wind resistance).  Our model has a trunk on the front, so storage isn't really a problem.  We can pull ours without trailer brakes (our F-150 has four wheel disk brakes) and don't get pushed around when braking.  We don't have a toilet/shower, but we camp pretty close to the CG's facilities, so that's just one less thing to set up.  I like that you can take the inside stove outside instead of having to store two stoves.  Right now, I only have two complaints:  The condensation that occurs on the bunk canvas and not enough time to get out and use our PUP.  A towel before closeup takes care of the condensation, but I don't know what to do about the second complaint.  Happy camping.
