Has anyone run into this problem, where the converter continously runs?  I went out for 5 days last week and for the first time my converter ran all day and night.  I was in a remote part of Louisiana and called Fleetwood, but with no help.  I have never had this happen before in my other travels the converter will normally charge the battery once every 3 days, but not continously...

Well the converter does runs all the time. What you heard was the cooling fan and yes it can run all the time if it needs to cool off the transformer. make sure you don't block off the air flow with stuff crammed into the compartment where the converter is.

The converter is a DC converter actually.  As the previous poster said, it runs all the time, but the fan switches on and off as cooling is needed.  Is it possible that you had some unusual continual DC load like some lights left on or the
fridge set to run on DC ??

I had the same thing happen to me and I discovered the frig was set to run on 12V. Since it was set up in the driveway I didn't even think the frig was on until I opened the door and found out it was cold. A quick check and sure enough it was set on 12V from our last trip while driving home. Shut down the frig and the converter's fan shut down also.
