There is a constant buzzing noise coming from our Air Conditioner.  It is from vibration and is pretty loud sometimes.  Has anyone experienced this problem and does anyone know any way to get this to stop.

Thanks

What make, model & year AC?

It is a coleman air conditioner.  I would say 1999.

If you remove the interior cover, you will see the bolts that go thru and secure the unit to the roof. Kind of a sandwich of top part of A/C , roof and lower portion of A/C.

Be sure the bolts are snug, do not overtighten and damage gasket. See if that takes care of your problem.

Also check the top shroud to be sure it's not loose and making the noise.

Best of luck.

I will check that and see.  I didn't know if some type of rubber gasket under the top shroud would work.  I will try what you suggested first.

Thanks

Problem
7. Fan Vibration.
The customer complains that the unit vibrates excessively. We
turn selector switch to fan/low or fan/high and the vibrations
are not appreciably reduced (we quickly eliminate the
compressor as the source of vibration).
The fan motor and fans were carefully balanced at the factory,
but they are fragile enough that they can be bent by rough
handling.
