 Hey folks -

 Looking for some hints here......

My 2002 Coleman Tacoma has one drawer above the furnace where we keep our utensils.  The drawer has a rail system which locks the drawer into place while in transit simply by the drawer dropping down into two tabs on the rails.

The problem I am having is that when I am towing, any bump pops that drawer right out of the tabs, then it procedes to fly out.  The result is that by the time I reach the CG, the entire contents of the drawer have been liberated. [:(] The dealer just looks at it and tells me " It should work fine......."  and shruggs his shoulders at me. [:@]

Anyone else seen this?  Is there some trick RV style latch that I can get, or should I install a standard chest-type latch on the front of the drawer?

Also - I have had to reinforce several of my cabinets with screws/brackets.  Coleman puts them together with staples, and small amounts of glue.  It took about three months for these things to start falling apart.  Is this a standard event with coleman units or did I just get unlucky?

mrflindersWe had the same problem on our SunValley. Last March, our dealer replaced the brackets that hold the drawer slides.  At the time, I understood this to be a common problem. Unfortunately, the dealer used the same cheap plastic piece. Of course, this bracket broke also. Then my DH went to Home Depot and bought something better that has held up so far. We keep games, cards, books in that drawer. The drawer didn t fly out, but did fall down (through) so it couldn t slide in/out.

How about you RNRD?  Ever had anything like that happen?

mrflindersYou might try the child proof latches they make for drawers, or install some duct tape![:D]
