Quote from: mike4947"Light for the weight it's carrying" is nice speach for, "you are overloading the axle and we're going to align it to what you are carrying".

Have you ever weighed the trailer?

I just got back from "the dump" where I weighed the trailer for the first time ever.  According to the literature I got when I bought the camper, it weighed 1900 lb "dry." I have to admit, I was a bit nervous as I drove to the dump. My trailer is not "dry." I have all the usual appliances (except A/C). I also have most of my camping gear stored in the front storage bin and throughout the trailer. What weight was I REALLY carrying????

Well, it turns out to be 2430 lbs, which is right in line with what I would expect. I also had them give me the weight after I hooked the tongue back onto my TV so I could know the tongue weight. That was 2120, so my tongue is right around 300 lbs. Again, this is right in line with where it should be. I was pleasantly surprised by all of this, especially the tongue weight. With a front storage bin, a full propane tank, and a battery all up front, I was afraid the tongue weight might be too high for my Class III hitch.

Knowing is so much more comforting than hoping.  Glad you took the time to do this.

Speak, welcome to the 5% club. That's the percentage of people owning RV's (of all types) that RV Industry News estimates that have actually weighed their combination.
