Coloma RV Resort

http://www.colomaresort.com/

On Highway 49, about halfway between Placerville & Auburn

My wife and I had looked into this place when we found it on the web this past Feb.  We were wanting to plan a NorCal rally, but felt Feb was too early for a mountain river campground -- so we opted for Vacaville.  However, a group of us ended up in Napa Valley instead.

We went to Coloma Resort this past weekend with the Northern California Starcraft Camper Club (http://www.californiastarcraft.com/) and have to say it was a great place.

There were lots of trees, lots to do, very peaceful (the only noisy people we encountered, drunks playing rap music out of their Chevy Nova car speakers with an air-horn, were promptly spoken to by management).  The CG was fairly large, with a pool, playground, open grass areas, on the river (for rafting), and had an ice-cream social, pancake breakfast, free wine tasting, a dog/puppy show (with root bear floats), etc.

We'd definitely go back again.

OC Campers

Sounds good to us.  Christopher loved this place when he went for his school over nighter.  It is a little pricey (I think for our family is was going to run $52 a night):yikes:  but if it is nice, clean and has plenty to do, then it is worth the $$$'s.
