I am thinking of purchasing a Fantastic fan 4000R with a Maxxair cover so I could leave it operating in the rain.  Does anyone have a fantastic fan installed that could tell me how efficient they are in the hot and humid weather?  I live in Columbus, OH where the summer weather can get in the upper 90s on a few days in July and August.  Does the airflow from the Fantastic fan need to be supplemented with an additional portable fan inside?

Thanks in advance!

I had a fantastic fan that I installed in my old westlake.  It would ventilate the whole thing quite well.  We would unzip the ends a little and let the fan pull the air thru.  For what its worth they also make one the closes automatically if left open in the rain (I could have used this feature at least once).

Good product and they stand behind it.

I also have a FF installed on my PU and it works great to help bring in a breeze, but don't expect it to keep the PU cool in 90 degree weather. I works best when it is in the mid 70's out with a light breeze and the PU feels stuffy. Just turn it on and in a short time you will feel the breeze thru your PU.  As for the rain guard It works well in LIGHT rain, but If it downpours make sure you close it up or you'll have a new swimming pool. I learned this lesson the hard way!
