Leaky Window Fabric Panels on Hybrid

I have a 2005 Bantam F-17 (Trail-lite) hybrid camper. For some unknown reason, the manufactor made the material on the bunk end for the zippered window panels different then the kind on the rest of the pop-out tent portion of the camper. The majority of the tent part is a vinyl coated material. But the zippered windows are made of a cotton type canvas. When it rains, the pillows and anything esle touching the panels get soaked. The dealer says the fabric threads are designed to 'swell' up and seal when they contact water. I have owned many pop-ups in the past (mostly Vikings)and they all had the same vinyl coated material on the bunk zippered panels as the rest of the pop-up. Never a leak. Has anyone had this experience? Is there any sealant that I can use?

Mine get damp when the pillows push against them. I sprayed them with Scotchguard and it sealed them up.

Another vote for Scotchguard.  Worked wonders on one end of ours.  Spray it on the inside though, not the outside.

Others have mentioned 303 sealant as working much the same.

I just purchased a used 2000 bantam 17  two days ago and we had a down pour today. Both bunk end window panels leaked and the sheets were wet :yikes: . I'll be trying scotch guard in the AM, hope it works. I never had this problem with any of the four pop ups I've had.
