Hey all,
I would like to draw on your experience here.
I am looking to get a bike rack for my put.
I am unsure if I should get a roof top bike rack for the put, a hitch carrier mounted rack with a ball for the trailer or finally getting a hitch carrier installed to the rear frame of the trailer and installing the bike rack at the rear.
There are many styles and prices out there.
So if anyone has a hitch mounted bike rack with a ball afterwards for the trailer, I would most appreciate hearing from you.
This is the type that I am drawn to. Seems easiest.
Thanks

I don't have the hitch type that have a ball for the trailer (the amount that you can tow with them is less than with the regular draw bar), but I use the Pro Rac system.  It attaches to the frame of the trailer and I can take it off in seconds if we aren't taking the bikes along.  It doesn't interfere with turns and the bikes are easier to mount on it than on the roof rack I have.   It was simple to install too.:)

The price includes shipping too.

I was going to get a top mounted (the rig has the rails in place already)... I thought about bumper model for the rig but a) kinda worried about back weight (Baysides are little front-light) and b) I thought, "what if I want to use the bike rack and I ain't using the camper?" (maybe this isn't an issue for you).  I just took delivery on a rear mount for my SUV.  Goes right to the tailgate and you can access the rear with the bikes on it.  Pretty sweet.  I bought it online through JC Whitney.  If your TV is an SUV, a hundred bucks will get you a four bike carrier and with 2 day Fed Ex (they waive the usual ground freight) it'll cost under $120 delivered.  Good Luck.  Gotta have them bikes.

Folks, thanks for the info.
It is amazing how many options are out there once you ask for other peoples advice.
I will be going with a hitch style bike rack. My reciever box is 1 1/4 x 1 1/4 so that narrowed a lot of my options. Most styles are for 2 x 2.
I will have a reciever box added to the rear of the pop-up. This way I can still tow full capacity and use the bike rack with or with out my pop-up. Total weight added to the rear of the pop-up will be 130 pounds. This includes the rack and bikes. Should be fine. If I must, i'll drive even slower. Folks find me a bit snail like already.
Thanks again....

We have a hitch mounted on rear bumper of our coleman. We find that back weight has been a problem with two bikes, causing swaying of camper
we're getting pro rac for top of campter

Knoxscoop,
How bad was the swaying?
My trailer is quite light to begin with. 1250 lbs + stuff.
Maybe a total of 1800 lbs.
I didn't think that the added 130 lbs would have affected the trailer so.
Any other specifics you can think of before I invest in a mistake!!!!!!
Thanks
The rear hatch SUV bike rack is a little less interesting. Had a rear window smashed on a VW Golf due to the pressure from the bike rack.  ( yup it was properly installed!)
Being Canadian , I haven't seen the Pro Rac tongue model on sale up here.
Still looking though.
