Okay, three days ago I was in love with my new pop up. Today I am not so sure. Was closing it up today and the right rear roof rail stops about 6 inches higher than the rest of the roof. The result is that I can't latch that corner of the roof, all of the other corners go down fine. Now I know this was latched when I towed it home. I have checked to see if there was anything on the interior of the trailer that couidl be holding it up and there is not. Trailer is level side to side and front to back.  Anyone want to buy a pop up?  Any help would be appreciated.

Rick ... what brand of popup?  The reason I ask is to know what type of lift your having problems with.

Not an uncommon problem. Lift systems do stick. I had one PU that the DW would have to walk around and shake the uprights as hard as she could so they would telescope into each other correctly. Another needed one section on one lifting arm pushed down manually as the roof closed to keep it from binding.

best bet, crank it up then close again and watch the sections as the roof comes down.

There are pulleys in the lift arm and under the camper that need to be lubed with silicone spray.  The ones in the lift arms you can only get when the top is part way up.  Put a piece of cardboard between the tenting and the lift arm so you don't get any silicone on the tenting.  Good luck with getting it down.:)
