2007 Reservations

Has any one else made reservations for 2007? Last week I made my reservations for Memorial Day weekend 2007 at my favorite SP in PA. I wasn't the only one. There were several other sites reserved when I made my reservation.

Haven't quite figured out where we want to go yet. Memorial Day for us will be somewhere close to home, one of the NYS Parks, Sampson, Letchworth, maybe Ithaca area, possibly Tioga, PA. We're thinking of Assateague for Spring Break in April. When might you be headed down there?

Do you have any idea how far in advance you can make reservations with Campamerica.com? I have not been able to find this information on the website.

We go to Assateague for Easter. Off hand I don't know when that is next year. You can't make reservations for Assateague until 5 months ahead of time, and they don't have reservations until April 15th. Most years Easter is with out reservations.

I have never mad reservations with Campamerica.com. Do they have a frequently asked questions area? Can you send them an email?

Easter next year is April 8. I have 4/6 (Good Friday) plus the next week off. We have to be here for Sunday services (DW's a church choir director). Don't know if we could make that trip in one day towing. If we left on Sunday, it would probably be around 1:00 at the earliest. We made it to south of DC OK this year on Easter Sunday, but we were towing the PUP, not The Beast. I'm towing slower and more diligently now. Sounds like we just go and find out what they've got for sites when we get there. Also sounds like there aren't too many people there at that time of year.

The ocean side of the campground is normally sold out for Easter weekend. Are you saying you could be there by 1 pm on Easter Sunday? What time would you be leaving? I know it is still a long way off.

No, I'd be leaving here at 1 PM. It's about a 9 hour drive from here to Virginia Beach without towing. Haven't checked a map yet to see if we'd go DC and down or Annapolis and down the Maryland side of Chesapeake. Maybe we should stop partway down and finish the drive Monday morning. We could do Monday through Friday, come home Saturday after Easter. Are you saying we'd not get one of the good sites by then? Or would the ocean sites be opening up again by Monday night day after Easter? It's a long time from now, but planning is always prudent.

I would expect that ocean side sites would open up again on Monday.
