Hi All, i have been trying to find some 6 inch PVC pipe to make a storage container for my mat and awning poles. I have looked at Lowes and Home Depot and a few other places, but i can only find 4 inch PVC, and its to small. Can anyone help me with this one...........Thanks,......Ed  :sombraro:

I've had the same goal, after seeing some other people's modifcations.

I'm thinking that I'll need to use two lengths of 3" or 4" to get all the awning poles in.  Would make it a LOT easier than managing those long poles, even in the carry bag.

Wondering about the possibilities of an ammo box or some other watertight container to carry smaller things like stakes, stacking stabilizers and such. Just one less thing to have to stick inside and try to keep clean enough to not damage the interior.

I bought 6" PVC at Home Depot.

I haven't bought any of it, but I've seen it at Home Depot.

Home Depot and Lowes here in Vegas carry up to 4" PVC, not 6", that sucks!!!
Its too small for What I want........Ed

You'll have to make a camping trip to the east coast and get some.  Sounds like a good excuse to me.

Try a plumbing supply house in the yellow pages. We have a few in Houston.  I got it and the screw on ends at the supply house, only sold in 10 foot section. The box stores dont have it here.
good luck

Don't know if it helps but the 6" I've seen has always been near the corrugated drain pipe.  I think they intend it for things like french drains.  Good luck in your search.  Have you thought of trying to order some and have it delivered?  I don't know what the minimum order would be, but I've ordered a single item that my Home Depot didn't carry.

I looked in the Yellow pages a found a few Plumbing Supply Stores, i'm going to go check one out on my day off (Wednesday).

Dave, your idea sounds good too, that would be a good excuse to get away. All I have to do is find a way to explain to my Boss i need some time off to go to the East Coast to get some PVC tubing :J................Ed
