Dinette Table Too Large

We recently purchased a 2002 Palamino Mustang with a wrap around dinette in one end. The pedistal table is too large and too low for us to sit at comfortability. There isn't enough room on the sink side for an adult to slide in without swiveling the table and the bottom of the table is almost touching the tops of our legs. We have looked at folding tables and may try one of those. Has anyone else ran into this problem and what did you do? A smaller table and a taller pedistal would probably do the trick if we could find them.

Try here for the pedestal legs. They have an assortment of lengths... should be able to find something that will work. For the table top, do you have any countertop shops in your area? There is a shop near me that has a ton of cut-outs from countertops where the sink goes in. They usually just throw them away, but for a few bucks the guy will cut it to a smaller size if need be, and glue a matching edge to it as well. HTH
